I'm so excited to share the photos from the shoot I told you guys about! I was really inspired by fun textures and shiny fabrics, from holographic and patent leather to glitter and sequins. I knew I wanted to shoot on location as opposed to in a studio, and since the clothing screamed "party," I thought an arcade would be perfect. Thanks to Dave & Busters in Times Square for letting us shoot there! And of course a huge thank you to the team: photographer Christopher Hench, hair stylist/makeup artist Audrey Lea Curry, and assistant Tanysha Rodriguez. Hope you guys enjoy!

I've kept my eye on Mynt1792 since their launch and have been really impressed with the leaps they make with each new collection. I was honored to host their event celebrating that their holiday collection is now carried in-store at Bloomingdale's (and also on the Bloomie's website).

I had such a great time today doing a little photo shoot that I creative directed, styled and "modeled" for (I'm using that term very loosely). I don't want to give away too much, but I really wanted to do something fun and different than a lot of the plus size shoots I see out there. I can tell you more about my inspiration once the final photos are released, but in the mean time I thought I'd share a few behind-the-scenes shots!
Thank you Audrey Curry for the amazing makeup!
As you can see from the photos, right now I'm really into clear and lucite stuff. The clear moto jacket was designed by Nadia, and is a part of the blogger collaboration that Mynt1792 recently debuted. It's a-mazing. The jeweled, clear clutch is an awesome find from eBay! I actually have an entire eBay collection dedicated to my love of this trend--from bags and shoes to home decor. Make sure you check it out here--and you can follow me and all my collections (like Beauty Bests) here. Can't wait to show you guys the full shoot!
My eBay collections were curated as part of my collaboration with eBay.
Many of you may have heard that the awesome dress rental site Rent the Runway now offers plus sizes, including exclusive pieces designed by Badgley Mischka and Carmen Marc Valvo! I literally squealed when I got the news via Nicolette, because there have been countless times I've wanted to use the service but unfortunately couldn't find my size. It was a no-brainer, then, when they asked if I'd be willing to curate one of their Holiday Shops. There are six themes, from Office Party to New Year's Eve Celebration, and I was in charge of choosing items (from both straight and plus sizes) for Black Tie Bash. Black tie events obviously don't come around too often, which is why RTR is great--you don't have to splurge on a designer dress you only wear once; you pay the rental fee, wear it to your party, and send it back.
For formal events, I love wearing dresses with a classic, chic silhouette and adding some glam with accessories (and yes, RTR has those too). Check out some of my top picks below and see the rest of them here!
I'm so excited to share that Addition Elle's Model Search is now down to the Top 20, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, so when I browsed the photos of the beautiful contestants, I was so pleased to see there are different sizes and races represented, and all the girls are super comfortable in their skin. They truly embody the "I have great genes" message. You can go the Addition Elle facebook page here to watch the videos from each lovely lady (they are SO worth watching, and they're super short--I promise) and vote for your favorites. Voting for this round is open until November 12th. I can't wait to head to NYC to be on the judging panel once the girls are narrowed down to the Top 5.
