Anyway, this is just a quick post to let you know I'm alive, and will be blogging more in the future. Wishing you all the best and a very happy New Year!

Oh man, do you guys want to kill me yet? Sorry about the ridiculous lack of updates. I've been so uninspired lately, mostly because of things going on in my personal life. Depression is not fun, and usually leads to a lack of interest in things (including fashion, considering I typically spend my days laying around in sweat pants and t-shirts). Not to worry, I'm working on getting back to the old me; updating YFF regularly is now on my list of New Year's Resolutions (because obviously that makes it official). Believe it or not, I actually dragged myself out of bed last night to meet up with a friend, which forced me to wear real clothes:

You think finding cute plus-sized clothing is hard in America? Try looking fashionable and trendy in countries where they don't offer half of the options we have here! But it's definitely not impossible; Meet Emily, a Canadian fashionista who proves that you can look great no matter where you're from. Her bold wardrobe and distinct personal style are totally inspirational. I've never seen the color red look so good.
Name: Emily B.
Location: Near Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Favorite Places to Shop: Canada is really limited when it comes to shopping for younger/trendier plus-sized clothes (which is why shopping in America is such a dream). I pretty much keep to Old Navy, thrifting, and buying stuff online.
Fashion Icons: Adele, Beth Ditto, early 90's Courtney Love
Current Obsession: Plaid, Paisley, and Stevie Nicks
Advice to other YFF Girls: Fat girls are often told to avoid certain colors, patterns, and prints. Don't listen to any of that. I think the most interesting outfits come from combining all of these things--the more creative and colorful, the better!

I have only one thing to say, and that is: I. Love. Sequins.
I seriously can't get enough. Have you ever loved something, gotten sick of it, and then loved it again? That is my relationship with sequins. I think it has something to do with the holidays. As New Year's Eve approaches every year, I suddenly fall back in love with the stuff. Some people think it's tacky, but hey, I've never been one to deny my adoration of gaudy shit. Anyway, the two things on my wishlist right now are a black sequin mini skirt and a black sequin oversized jacket (no, they should not be worn together). I know, I know, part of me wonders if I am channeling my inner-Michael Jackson, (is it bad that I would totally rock a silver sequin glove?)
Aside from ebay, which is pretty hit or miss, I cannot seem to find what I am looking for in plus-sizes, and it is killing me softly. So I am enlisting you, dear readers. Let me know if you come across either of my two lusted after items, and I will be forever indebted to you. Plus, then we can all celebrate together by having one big (sparkly) party. See? Win-win.
