Rufflin' It

Photobucket

Thank you guys for your kind words on my last post!

You all know I'm not the most conservative dresser, so I always struggle a little with what to wear to job interviews. It can be tough to show my personality and find that perfect balance of style and professionalism. At an interview this afternoon, I decided to don a black ruffle dress from JCPenny that has been hanging in the back of my closet forever. It's sleeveless and a little low cut, so I wore a black tank underneath and my cap-sleeve cardi from Jen's Fashion Plus to make it a little more work-friendly. The cut-out flats are from forever21, and the purse, earrings, and belt are from my best friend's massive accessory collection :)

  3. I've got a dilemma that I hope you might be able to address in a future post - can you suggest any print guides, websites, or blogs that give info on the fabrics and styles of dresses you "should" and "shouldn't" wear by season? I ask because I recently purchased an awesome dress but fear that because it is knit (about the same thickness as your typical cardigan) that it isn't appropriate for early summer wear. Any help you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated!

  6. this outfit is so faboosh!
I love when there's a piece of clothing in the closet that has been sitting there forever and it finally has a purpose and moment as a fabulous outfit! I have this waitress-y fitted shirtdress I got from Ross for probably less than $25 a couple years ago and I've finally started to wear it regularly. I'm constantly receiving compliments!
It always seems that the most unsuspecting things in our closets elicit the best responses from others.

p.s. I'm needing to clear out my closet at my house before the wedding and moving to our new house... If I have dresses that I think you might like, can I send them to you!?
