City Chic at Australian Fashion Week

I have always been a fan of the Australian retailer City Chic (though I have never personally ordered from them), but I've heard mixed reviews from Aussies themselves. I have to say though, after seeing their designs from Australian Fashion Week, I'm digging them even more. Unlike most of the plus size fashion I've seen on runways, the City Chic looks were young, current and wearable. I honestly could see myself in any one of these designs and I hope they will be available soon on City Chic's site (especially that studded mini)! What do you guys think?

  3. They look nice but their quality is horrible, they wouldnt last very long and considering the price tag most of their stuff is worth less then $10 but you'd be lucky getting much under $50

  5. Pretty, but is it really anything we haven't seen from Dorothy Perkins/Evans? Especially the second dress--I know I have seen that somewhere else.

I can see why you would be excited by this stuff, but it's def-o not for me. :)

@alexis yeah it's definitely not anything new conceptually , but it's still nice to see on the runway!

  10. Thanks for the link, Gabi!

@Candy9985 - I know what you mean; nothing was terribly adventurous. But Australian plus size fashon has been trailing so far behind the US and the UK for so long that just having looks that are cute are a win.

  11. Everything is ok... cute but not amazing! But still a step up, no? And of course, stylish ladies could make everything so much better. :)

  14. Yeah, as an Australian, with a City Chic in my home town, there are pluses and minuses.
They're quality is terrible on most day to day items.
Their jeans are quite good, though. I use the internet a lot to shop so I tend to loose perspective, but coming to think of it they are basically to only plus sized store offering skinny jeans, including those within department stores. (Aust. only has 4 plus-only stores, and all of them except City Chic tend to be dowdy)
Like many things when presented on the runway they are style well enough to fool you. A lot of City Chic stuff is guady, OTT and horrible. This presentation is a big improvement though.
In the long run, Australian plus size is lagging so much it's a blessing to have anything, and CC is really trail blazing in terms of plus sizes for young people. Like any plus size retailer, they need to be combed, most of their stuff discarded, and mined for the odd great pieces.

  15. Warm dog clothing Abercrombie Polos is made in many different popular fabrics as well. You Abercrombie Polos can get sweaters which are made out of fleece, jackets ed hardy Hats made with micro fiber faux suede as well as knits and standard cotton blends. The Ed Hardy Sale best place to find all of these selections though is through the internet. When Ed Hardy Swimwear you go to the local pet store, if they have any selection at all, their Ed Hardy Swimwear prices can be expensive. The same also goes for specialty shops. However dog Ed Hardy Swimwear apparel on the internet are cheap and since they are even delivered to your front door, you get even more savings.
