Age: 20
Location:Portland, Oregon
Size: 14/16
Favorite Places to Shop: Thrift stores, yard sales, my designer friends, anywhere! I've gotten great clothes in weird places, like free piles and antique stores.
Fashion Icons: I love really concentrated femininity. Divine, Brigette Bardot. I get inspiration for outfits from everywhere- music, blogs, my friends and family, absolutely everywhere. I tend towards vintage or classic looks with a little bit of something absurd and unexpected.
Current Obsession: 60's girl groups and black eyeshadow
Advice to other YFF Girls: Don't stop fighting the good fight! Sometimes it might feel like you are preaching to the choir, but you've got to remember that everyday you don't let yourself be down over your size, it is a revolutionary act. Don't be afraid to try on anything and everything, no matter if the store is plus sized or not, or what the size on the tag says, or if it is "not a style for fat girls". Switch it up. Don't ever feel like you have to be locked into a style. Learn fashion history. Stand up straight. Lastly, find a shade of red lipstick that works for you and work it. Does wonders for your self confidence, every time. There are a billion shades, and you can find one that makes you feel hotter instantly.
