Okay, I'm going to be honest here: after seeing it in these shots, I'm not loving the romper on me. It's okay, but not what I was hoping for. I may try playing around with it some more in the future, but for now it's going back in my closet.
I wore it with a circle knit scarf from Marshalls, amazing sunglasses from Beacon's Closet, Forever21 wedges, and last but not least, the gorgeous necklace that Akira Chicago was nice enough to send me! It's by House of Harlow and is absolutely stunning. They also sent me an awesome pair of shoes that I'll feature here in my next outfit post.
They are offering all YFF readers a 15% discount on shopakira.com by using the coupon code: GABI15! Start shopping! They have some fabulous clothes, and even if you can't fit their straight sizes, their shoes and accessories are amazing too.

ReplyDeleteYou are trippin, that playsuit looks great on you! I've been eyeing the same one and I'm still hoping to see it on clearance, frankly. Love Lizz's work

Don't hurt 'em girl! Love it.
ReplyDeletei think it looks great.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks beautiful. The photography effect helps also. But I think the romper looks good. If anyone can pull it off, you can.
ReplyDeleteliteralgemini.blogspot.com
I've been wanting that romper to but I was unsure about that much pattern on my shape. I like it on you honey but it does need a big black belt to define the waist more.
ReplyDeleteI love your accessories with it, so well put together.
I'm still considering buying it but the fabric I'm guessing it will not go well with our blistering hot summer next month.
Love, love, love it! The sunglasses and lipstick really add that glam factor. Your photographer friend did a fantastic job too.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I think the playsuit looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I just discovered your blog and I'm loving it. Consequently, I just went on to Asos for the first time, I see myself spending way too much time and money there in the future.
I love it on you Gabi!
ReplyDeleteLady, I totally get what you mean about that romper. I've been eying it for awhile, but somehow don't think I've got what it needs to pull it off... you do look nice in it though!
ReplyDeleteYou look a-ma-zing!
ReplyDeleteI've been eying that playsuit for forever! as soon as it's on sale-- I'm going to get it!
You look absolutely stunning in every picture! :) I seriously love your style, and every shot of you is gorgeous!

You just sold me on this outfit! I am ordering it tomorrow along with a curve gathered skirt! I love wearing all black so this outfit will allow me to incorporate color, okay at least black and white!
ReplyDeleteI'll post it on my blog too along with the skirt! Thanks, for the inspiration.

Wow stunning pictures - good job that you bought the playsuit as it looks fab on you :) I'm unbelievably jealous that you live in NYC - what I would give x
ReplyDeleteSince you dont like the romper on you, I'll take it! <3 LOL It looks great though. I def cant tell that its a romper.
ReplyDeleteyou look great and this is a beautiful setting! where in NY is that?
ReplyDeletei'm glad this ended up here, because there are 30 other people backing up my notion that you look fantastic and the photos are, again, beautiful. it was so good seeing you this weekend, can't wait to see you on friday! and thank you for the shout out, too! xoxo
ReplyDeleteCome on! You look fantastic! But, in life, it's always about how you feel and never how you look like!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you're gorgeous!

I think you look great. The circle scarf, really sets it off.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI also really wondered about this romper but ended up not purchasing it because the print up close didn't look like I thought it would from the overall photo. I think it looks awesome on you though! I wouldn't put it back in the closet any time soon. I think it might be cute with a belt to define the waist better and break up the all-over print.
ReplyDeleteFirst off u look fab! But that's so funny that u say this because I purchased it and feel the same way! I REALLY wanted this to work! But I think overall it was just too big. Maybe if I sized down it would've been better. I did wear a belt but the crotch was way to low and the shorts were so damn long lol. I purchased this for Miami but it prolly won't get worn...WOMP WOMP lol. I'll keep trying tho, spent too much for it to just sit in my closet lol...
ReplyDeleteIt looks so great on you! It's rockin. flaunt it more! dont waste it in the closet. :D
ReplyDeleteLove all accesories, love the playsuit, and the New York photo is amazing <3

ReplyDeleteFirst time on your blog. Saw you at the VMA's. I'm new to blogging. Totally inspired. Looking into getting into the "curvy" industry. LA native ready to show that we are all beautiful, no matter the size.
ReplyDeleteI love the romper too and think it looks great on you in the photos. I agree with J. don't put it away. Maybe play with solid belts to break up the print a little. Otherwise you look fabulous! -StitchNightly.com
ReplyDeleteIt looks super cute . . . and when I hear romper, usually I cringe. But this looks super cute.

ReplyDeleteI really like the romper on you. The print is really beautiful, and it photographs very well. I would figure out what you don't like about it, and seem if it's fixable.
ReplyDeletemyheartblogged.blogspot.com/
I think you look lovely!
ReplyDeleteI saw that too, but jumpsuits make me feel a little too exposed, I am very self-conscious about my thighs!
I LOVE ASOS Curve. Though I wish their dresses were just a couple of inches longer... have I mentioned my thighs? ;-)
That coat is stellar.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful! You have great style. I am going to check out that site. I am also a plus sized gal and have a blog about online dating adventures... if you want to check it out! http://curlycurvyinct.blogspot.com/

Like others, I have no idea what you're talking about! This looks fabulous on you! The whole outfit is fantastic. I agree with some others who think a thick belt would add some definition and maybe some colour... But fantastic photography, great outfit, and wonderful styling.

you look awesome!
ReplyDeleteA splendid blog and beautiful pictures. It's true that most of the women they show us are lots to thin. (And I'm also a blogger using blogger, but in Polish I'm not that pretty to put my pictures everywhere. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOne small thing made me wonder... In a few places on your blog I was welcomed by Toyota ads. Seems strange, doesn't it? Perhaps you would prefer earn more money and have those ads more a propos your pretty content? If so, and if interested, please contact me at admin at triarius.com. I will help you with everything - absolutely no hasle for you.
All the best and keep up!

I love the romper, but maybe it's because it's a picture, but you can't really see the garment details, or your waist! Somebody suggested that maybe if it were belted it would be more convincing, and I agree! Maybe the large print combined with what appears to be flowy fabric need some toning down? I think you should give it another chance, with another outfit! But if it doesn't feel comfortable then, then don't try to force it. IMHO.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I LOVE your blog! Secondly,I have this playsuit and I'm not crazy about it on me either. I haven't worn it yet and contemplating sending it back. Lastly, keep up the great work, I'm inspired and I'll be following. Ciao<3
ReplyDeleteI only just discovered your blog recently and I'm loving it ! your so stylish and have a real talent for styling... you always look so well put together :)

bonjour! first time to your blog, and i'm very happy i stumbled upon this gem. may i ask: did you feel that the fit of this romper was "true to size"? there's only us16 left in stock... so i'm secretly hoping it runs a little large (i'm a 50... us18). your input is greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeletealso, you look tres magnifique in the photos! i am very picky about the way clothes fit on me, too... but i think you are gorgeous and the playsuit is lovely on you. thanks for blogging!

ReplyDeleteSorry it is what I think and you could do better, more original and youthful.
I think you look fine. Sometimes it's better to take a camera along with you, when you try on clothes. This way you can tell if it flatters your body types.
ReplyDeleteHere is a real funny article about how to choose the right Handbag. It's called "Does my Handbag make me look Fat?" It tells you what shape Handbag fits you body size.
