Blogger Off Duty

Since this outfit is pretty casual, I originally posted it to tumblr. I try to keep YFF to nicer outfits, but I decided to post it here to get your opinion. I know you guys like to see this blog updated more often, but this is usually the type of thing I'm wearing on my off-days. Do you guys want to see shots like this here, too? I'd love your input!

Today I'm wearing head-to-toe Forever21. The striped top and boyfriend jeans are recent purchases, but the jacket and shoes I've had for a while. You've probably seen the jacket a million times, and that's because I wear it almost daily--it was hands down the best $30 I spent in 2010.

  9. This is a great outfit. I love the jeans and the striped tee. I vote YES to more outfit shots. Sometimes I get a little annoyed with blogs that only show really dressed up outfits. I like using blogs for my daily inspiration, and outfits like these totally do the trick :)

  10. I think you should post casual outfits here since this is your fashion blog. I don't subscribe to see a meticulously edited fashion spread. I like to see what a real woman wears to work/class/grocery shopping ect. and how they change it up at night or go all out on special occasions. I don't understand what is up with people trying to dictate what you wear and how often you should post. Keep it up!

  11. You have more than one dimension, why not reflect that in your blog as well? We all have 'off' days, but I still draw inspiration from casual wear too. I'm sure other readers do as well.

  31. Actually, I find casual outfits MORE inspiring, since, in this culture, it's harder to look put-together as a fat person in casual clothing. I generally know how to look good all dressed up, but I struggle with casual looks. Thanks!

  44. Well for you questions, I've got two things to say:
    The first is - why would you dress casually and only glamor to the blog? Wear the clothing you love every day! (this is a tough one, I tend to wear casual as well, for the luck of clothing)
    The second is that I'd love to see you casual outfits as well, I think you look great anyway and very inspiring.
