silver spring

I've never been one to copy the latest celeb trends, but when I saw the unbout illusion pumps on a few different gossip blogs, I immediately fell in love. After a lot of thought, I decided to make my very first high-end designer shoe purchase. I'm 25, so I figured it's about time for a classic grown up pair of heels (plus I had a pretty shitty 2011 so I convinced myself I deserve them). For my first time wearing them out on the town, I paired them with a black ASOS peplum top (available here) and silver sequin leggings (available here--if you buy them, I recommend sizing down).

  34. You look fantastic! Shirt isn't my style but those leggings are awesome! Are they comfortable or do they feel weird between your thighs? (is that a weird question?)

    I recently found your site and read back quite a bit. Your video on trying clothes no matter what the size label says was great advice. I usually did anyway, but the looks I'd get from people while carrying around clothes in a S/M/L store bothered me. Now they don't! Because I'm pretty short (5'2) I still have trouble pulling off a lot of "plus size" styles. All models, including plus size ones, are tall, so it's very difficult to tell if a bottom or dress would look ok on me. Any advice for short

    1. the leggings are soft/comfy not itchy :) as far as being short, i know this isnt much help but tailors are definitely key. they are life savers and much cheaper than you think--you can usually get things shortened for about $10-20

    as always you look gorgeous, Christian Loubitains, *sigh* so pretty and very classic, but now you will be addicted my dear and can never go back to non-coture footwear! It's like once you put on those red soles you never want to take them off. I know because the guy at bloomingdales had to pry the ones I was "just visiting" off my feet! Those leggings are the bizzomb, that shirt is just simply cute, &works so well here, and those shoes, which I haven't loved when I've seen them elsewhere, complete the look.   71. HOT! Now, can we talk about comfort? I have yet to dive into high-end designer heels bc I get past the idea of my painful $500 kicks. I've been told LBs are the Ferrari of shoes...hot to be seen in but not a smooth ride. From one city girl to another, your thoughts?

    1. the heels on these ones aren't too high so they are much more comfortable than i was expecting, honestly. that said, i have yet to actually spend a huge amount of time walking in them. i'd suggest always trying shoes on in the store first!

      I have regular Pigalle 100mm ones and they hurt really bad, plus the heel broke after couple of month and i had to pay some more to replace it.
      My question is, do they feel stable? I feel like they not meant for big girls ( I'm 220 lbs)

    3. @elizabeth they feel pretty stable to me (as much as they can for stiletto heels lol). this is my first pair of loubs and ive only really worn them once so it's hard to say...but i imagine they are the same quality/stability as the pigalles
