I know floral is on trend every Spring, but it seems to be even bigger than usual this year. I'm definitely loving it more than I have in the past, and I've been wanting to get my hands on some floral pants for a while now. They seem to be everywhere in the straight size world, but very few plus brands are carrying them (no surprise there). Luckily I checked Dorothy Perkins--which carries up to size US 18--and they had one pair left in my size! I'm also recently obsessed with lucite heels, but it was hard to find an affordable pair; I came across
these from Dillards on sale and they're super comfy!
PS-If you missed my appearance on the Today Show, you can see it
here. Thanks so much to all of you for the support!
You look like perfection! I am absolutely in love with your jeans! Amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou really are such an inspiration so glad you made it on tv. I've literally started to feel comfortable in my skin :) I love that jackets it's amazing. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteluv those pants you look amazing in light colors just stunning dear:)

My beautiful baby really loved the pants was fabulous.

Fly! I love that you're concerned about price. A lot of other fashion bloggers think it's normal to drop $1000+ on a pair of shoes. I don't know about them, but that's not I'm my reality. Thanks for your affordable suggestions :)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with this, while I do love my brands, it's not logical right now, and all that matters to me is that i look polished for a decent price and that it's flattering. Now if they happen to hip me to a 1000 pair on sale for say...200 haha, then i'm GAME! :)
Deleteyou are just too fab! i love everything about this look!
ReplyDeleteI love it! The neutral top & blazer with the floral pants is what did it for me! And I'm loving the shoes! Chunky heels and corals are on my list of favorites these days! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are working this look! The jeans are so cute.
ReplyDelete-Shakiyla
love your look! :D it's chic and simple, and the flower pattern on the pant is really sweet and not to out there. perfect, soooo inspired! <3
ReplyDeleteI love your style! You always pair colors together perfectly. I wasn't sure if I'd like the floral pant trend because I've seen tons of thin girls wearing them looking all cute and whatnot, but I didn't know if they'd look right on a plus body because I wasn't sure if it would be too much print. You styled it perfect though!! Definitely inspiring.

LOVE IT!
ReplyDeletei have been following your blog for just over an year now and i just love the way you make me feel about myself! i am from india and out here, being a plus size woman is a sin! few stores offer plus size clothes and the ones that do somehow seem to believe "+plus = boring, saggy clothes" that make you look more like a sack than anything else. you are such an inspiration! if only i could buy stuff to make outfits like you :)
i love it!!i have been searchiing for on as well..but haven't been able to in my size
ReplyDeleteWow this is the perfect floral pants! Love it, very nice with the jacket.

I'm usually not a fan of floral, but I like the colours on those pants. Love your nails and how awesome are those shoes! Yet again, another great outfit and you look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great floral look! I often don't like them, but this was a great chic floral look!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous!! And I also love that extra POP of neon color on your nails as an accessory. What I really like is each piece can be worn as a focal point of a different look. And your hair?? Simply easy beautiful bad chick!!

You are so right about many plus size brands not carrying floral print jeans. I've been looking for ever and these are the first plus size pair I've seen. Thanks for sharing! Now I'll have to check out Asos and see what I can find. You look fab by the way.

I love the shoes!
ReplyDeleteLove everything, but I think a fitted top underneath the blazer would have been better.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Today show appearance - u didn't get flustered even when she threw stereotypes and cliches at you (and -they don't have a plus-sized reporter?!)!!! Now, as much as I love floral, I'm cautious with being big and wearing floral - I'm afraid I'll look like a moving sofa, to be honest! but this - this is nice! this is certainly doable! great look!!!
ReplyDeletewow you are such a babe - love your style! keep it up xox
ReplyDeleteI really love these pants on you, you look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYes to flower power. So pretty.

After this fabulous post, I think Dorothy Perkins should put those pants back on the website! It is amazing how you put that outfit together. Makes floral and super-skinny look super easy to wear :)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing. You took this trend and made it look very wearable for a curvy woman... I was afraid to try it out until now.

It boggles my mind that everyone is in love with that jacket. I love the color and cut of it, except for the shoulders. They are awful. I can just see them getting skewed and/or crushed by a shoulder-hung purse. Otherwise, I love the outfit. Do you feel like you get get honest comments all the time? Just something I've wondered with popular blogs that I follow.
ReplyDeletethe solution to shoulders not being 'skewed' by a shoulder hung purse? don't wear one with this blazer. high/strong shoulders have been/continue to be in style, thanks mostly to balmain. it's one of my favorite trends, and many people love it, so to call it awful is pretty rude--and yes, i do feel like i get honest comments. are there people who don't like my outfits, sure, but usually they are polite enough to keep it to themselves. as a personal style blogger i'm not asking for constructive criticism about my clothes. if i like something enough to wear it and post it on the internet, calling it ugly or awful doesn't make sense because obviously it's cute to me.
DeleteYup! All good!!
ReplyDeleteyou look soooo good in this outfit!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look SO great! I always wondered what a plus size floral bottom should look like. You've definitely showed me!

Hi Gabi u look awesome as usual. Can I ask a bit of fashion advice? I'm a 25 y/o newlywed and unfortunately I couldn't afford the dream wedding so I went to the court, but I would still like to take wedding pictures in a white dress for a keepsake. Are there any white plus size dresses that you might recommend? With sleeves that aren't too costly? I'm not looking for anything to wear a train with, maybe just a blusher or a white flower in my hair. If you could help it'd be great lol. Thanks!~Lola
ReplyDeleteSO cute!!! I adore your style, gabi! :)
