Lollapalooza Recap

After the Laudi Vidni visit, we arrived at Lolla and the energy was palpable. After a stop in the #DellLive lounge (where we charged up our phones, played with the XPS, took funny pics and enjoyed the A/C), I headed out to see some of my favorites like SBTRKT, Passion Pit, NERO and M83. Day Two was super intense! I met up with my friend Sarah and showed her around the lounge before we got some delicious food and went to check out the shows. We actually only got to see Aloe Blacc (so good) when we heard the festival was being evacuated because of the weather! Luckily we got to Afrobella's apartment in time to ride out the storm. The show must go on though--later that night things were back up and running and we got to rock out to Frank Ocean and Santigold.

I basically wore the same outfit as I did on day one: another shirt dress/tunic from H&M+ with denim cutoffs, a statement necklace and black sandals. The top (dress?) is such a gorgeous color and the back is completely sheer. photo-4 PhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket

  9. I have the exact same piece from H&M (got it on Sale! Yeah =D) and I love how you style it! Normaly y tuck it into my jeans or wear it with a leather leggins =)

  26. I saw the pink tunic/dress the other day, too, and I was like, um, how the hell am I gonna style this? It's look long to pair with jeans/pants. Should I put a belt over it? Blah, blah, blah. lolol. Anywho, I like the idea of wearing it over cut-off jeans. Especially, if the back is sheer. Shows that you ain't completely naked under there.

    You look great! And I need to go to a music festival in my lifetime.

  33. I just had to let you know that you are my new fashion inspiration. I'm not plus size (or black or look like you in anyway), but I think your bold style is so rad, that when I went to a wedding this weekend, I stopped by H&M and picked a day-glo dress with peplum -- something I would have NEVER worn before -- and wore it with a vintage rhinestone choker, denim jacket and rhinestone brooch, and I rocked the HELL out of it. Thanks for the examples of confidence and fashion risk. I never cared about fashion before, but the way you put it together is so cute and accessible that I feel like I can do it too.
