Whenever I'm running low on fashion inspiration (or just feeling kind of lazy), I default to the same silhouette: blazer, slouchy tee, skinny jeans/leggings. It's the easiest foolproof outfit that looks good on pretty much everyone. Not exactly the most fashion forward, but a good standby nonetheless. That said, Forever21+ has been crazy good lately, and I've been buying up a storm there. We always hear people talking about mixing high and low, but the truth is most people can't afford high end fashion. Most of us are trying to find ways to mix low and more low and still look chic. I love seeing Chanel paired with H&M as much as the next girl, and I die for  great designer sale, but I think it's kind of out-of-touch to think someone can't look great wearing inexpensive pieces head-to-toe. My top (available here), blazer (available here), faux leather leggings (similar here), and bag (available here) are from F21, and the amazing shoes are by Jeffrey Campbell via ShopAkira. The earrings are some of my new faves from ASOS (available here)--they have the best jewelry! DSC_0262 one DSC_0393 Photobucket

Lollapalooza Recap

After the Laudi Vidni visit, we arrived at Lolla and the energy was palpable. After a stop in the #DellLive lounge (where we charged up our phones, played with the XPS, took funny pics and enjoyed the A/C), I headed out to see some of my favorites like SBTRKT, Passion Pit, NERO and M83. Day Two was super intense! I met up with my friend Sarah and showed her around the lounge before we got some delicious food and went to check out the shows. We actually only got to see Aloe Blacc (so good) when we heard the festival was being evacuated because of the weather! Luckily we got to Afrobella's apartment in time to ride out the storm. The show must go on though--later that night things were back up and running and we got to rock out to Frank Ocean and Santigold.

I basically wore the same outfit as I did on day one: another shirt dress/tunic from H&M+ with denim cutoffs, a statement necklace and black sandals. The top (dress?) is such a gorgeous color and the back is completely sheer. photo-4 PhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket

Dell Influencer Dinner + Laudi Vidni

I was so excited when Dell asked me to be their buzzSpotter at this year's Lollapalooza. I immediately said yes because I've wanted to experience a music festival forever but have never had the chance to go. They kicked off the weekend with a super chic Influencer Dinner on Thursday night to celebrate Lolla and their XPS laptop (they were even kind enough to gift one to all of the guests)! The food was amazing and  I wore my LBD by Monif C with my beloved MK heels.

The next morning, we stopped by Laudi Vidni on our way to Lolla so that I could create a custom leather bag for my new XPS. I was so overwhelmed by all the options, but in the best way. Seriously, I felt like a kid in a candy store--there were so many colors, textures and shapes. (First you choose the bag design you want, then you customize it any way you'd like from the different leathers, lining and hardware available).  I stayed true to myself by going with all black with gold hardware, but I made it fun by choosing the shiny leather base with a textured leather (pictured below) for the pocket. In about three weeks, it should arrive on my doorstep! I left wishing I could customize my entire closet!

I wanted to be comfy and breezy for the festival, so I wore an oversized sheer tunic from H&M+ with a statement necklace and Forever21 denim cutoffs (they peeked through beneath and on the sides).
