Love Affair

I know, I'm the worst! I've been insanely busy with work deadlines and travel...not to mention weather has been crappy and I've been lounging in leggings on my days off. Ironically, I've been shopping non-stop--mostly at ASOS because their stuff has been amazing lately. I'll have a delivery on its way and then they'll add something great and I have to get it; it's an endless cycle and I have a problem. (What's a girl to do when it's the only brand that consistently has fashion forward plus size pieces?) Let's just say you'll be seeing a lot of ASOS on this blog in the coming months...starting with these, via instagram:
Dress from ASOS Maternity, available here. Vest is an old purchase from Saks, I forget the designer. ASOS graphic print dress, available here. Size down, it runs large! Forever21 jacket, no longer available.
At the Addition Elle store opening in Toronto with Marie and Franceta! Wearing an ASOS coat, no longer available, and F21 button down available here.

ASOS asked me to do an edit for their Curve Facebook Page. See my picks below--photos are clickable. I already own most of these! (No, I'm not being paid to say any of this. I just really fucking love that store).

  6. You are looking fab, as usual. I just made my first ASOS order over the weekend (huge coupon, couldn't waste it) and can't wait to try everything out. It's like F21 on crack!

  7. I love the floral print and design of that Asos dress in the first photo. The way the floral print is arranged to let the dark background colour have shape and design of its own is very pretty.

  8. None of the Curve models ever look like they actually fit the clothes ie they're a lot smaller than a UK 18/20, which is my issue with them. However I am buying the HECK out of that bodycon dress from the maternity line.. hello winter party dress! xoxo

    1. I know right the model they use can't be over a size 8/10. I still love their clothes but my last purchase ...it was a huge 16, and I'm so disappointed.

  9. I don't blame you at all. I've been loving ASOS lately and doing a lot of shopping there. I just wore that exact same floral dress a few weeks ago: http://www.greenandgorgeous.net/2013/03/06/outfit-blooming/

I had to buy a straight size because their sizing tends to run big. Seriously though, I've been obsessively checking their site every day for new stuff, because they really cater to curvy women in a way that is on trend and fresh. In today's outfit post, I wore a tutu from them :)

  11. I completely agree with you. ASOS Curve has had some amazing pieces lately and it is driving me crazy because I am trying to go on a shopping hiatus. ::sigh::

    Anyway, you look great!

  12. I can absolutely relate to your ASOS "problem"! I shop on there constantly and every time something is in the mail, next day I have to order something else! Thanks goodness for free shipping. I even attempted to give ASOS specifically up for Lent and I couldn't last that long....woops! Literally ordered two shipments this week....

  13. Ha ha. I'm the same with Asos. I'll have ordered something and 3 days later I find something else I want. I should just email them and ask them to hold my order for a few days because it's highly likely I'll find something else. I try to cut down the amount of orders from them due to their plastic bags. I'd rather just have one big order than a bunch of little ones.

    Love that floral print dress!

  15. Love all of your choices, I'm an inbetweenie so I find it really hard sometimes because Asos is too small but Asos Curve is too big... Ahhh Frustration!!

But I love all your choices and You've inspired me to explore again :o)

  18. First, you've turned me into an ASOS junkie. I'm on CURVE in the Market Place and I go crazy in the Outlet. I'm gonna go broke. Secondly, I just left Chi Town (which is what my Chicago friends call it, Bother) and I can't. I ran back to NYC. I will wait until May. Good Luck out there.

  21. i am OBSESSED with that suit you picked and i have been stalking it since they put it up. i have no clue where i would ever wear it to, so i've been holding back on grabbing it. i've actually sent back everything i've bought from them so far this year, i think i am inbetween sizes there and nothing fits right! :(

  22. Unfortunately their curve models just make me look the other way as I find it hard to visualizing how it would fit on my body type, but thinking otherwise now as you look more fab that the models on the site. I might have to give them another try.

  24. Great looks!!! I love Asos, but I've always been scared to buy because I wasn't sure of sizing. I normally wear a size 12 on bottom and size XL on top, preferably petites. How does the sizing of Asos Curve compare to say, an XL from Forever 21+?

    Thanks!!

    1. Hey Cassandra! If you're a size 12, I'd recommend you shop from the Main Range at ASOS! ASOS Curve generally runs a bit big, so likely won't fit you---but their main range is even MORE amazing and I still highly recommend checking it out! If you wear an XL at F21, try a size 12 at ASOS.

  31. Ah shit, the ASOS dresses look uh-maazing on you! (contrary to the models btw. It's beyond me how they could use models that seem to be drowning in the outfits for PR material. They ain't got no curves!)
